2006 Washington DC Dragon Boat Festival - Team Taipei

Almost as soon as I arrived near the dock where the crews embarked and disembarked, Team Taipei made a spectacular show after winning their race. Unfortunately, as was the case all the time I was there, the sun wasn't fully participating, it hid behind the clouds while I wanted to soak up all the beautiful colors, but the clouds dulled them for all but the team photo at the end. Team Taipei was still a pleasure to see in their red with matching oars, complemening the drum and the red of the ROC flag.

When they lined up for the group shot, I couldn't help geting the festival flags and the Kennedy Center all in the frame.
