The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival
New festival features, including Explore Asia and the Cultural Unity stage, attracted throngs of newcomers and veteran festival-goers
The 7th Annual Colorado Dragon Boat Festival drew record crowds estimated at over 90,000 last weekend to Sloan's Lake in Denver. Fifty-five race teams competed in the dragon boat races, with the Maestas Tae-Kwon Do Dungeonless Dragons defeating the Coors Dragon Slayers to win the inaugural Competitive Division series.

Members of Denver's Hmong community welcomed visitors to the “Explore Asia” area of the 2007 Colorado Dragon Boat Festival, where the Hmong, Filipino and Mongolian communities were spotlighted. The festival drew 90,000 people with its combination of Asian Pacific American culture and the competition of Dragon Boat races.
