2009 Washington DC Dragon Boat Festival: Teams and Teammates
This was our 5th trip to the Washington DC Dragon Boat Festival and our first time to get shots from one of the boats made available for press coverage. This first page of photos is of teams in the marshalling area and the race management.

Who are those young folks in orange? ECS Chantilly is back again.
The Patent and Tradmark Office Piranhas were there, too.
And so were the Clean Water Warriors.
The race was managed by USDBR. This is their finish line tent where they officiated the race finish.
The Hua Fu Youth looked sharp as a team and in the water they were sharp and polished.
I believe this is Team Rocket, another youth team. I kept looking for Jesse and James.

Badges? I didn't think we needed any badges. The same team gets a pep talk.
The race starter has to work with the boat captains to get the racing boats in alignment for the start of a race. He signals the race start with his air horn.
