2009 Washington DC Dragon Boat Festival: Race photos
The races are really what it is all about. Getting on the water and having a fun sport event pulls all the energy and excitement together. The Saturday of the festival was really the cloudiest day I've ever tried to shoot this event and the colors aren't quite as vibrant, but this year the festival organizers let me ride in a boat for a while. Some shots are of races, some of boats positioning for the race or returning to the docks. I'm not entirely sure of my identifications of teams and would appreciate any corrections.
